Refund Policy

1. No Refunds Policy

All sales are final. El Dorado Golden Retrievers does not accept refunds or returns of puppies under any circumstances, except as specifically outlined in this policy.

The $500 reservation deposit is non-refundable once paid. By placing a deposit, you acknowledge that you are making a binding commitment to purchase a puppy from El Dorado Golden Retrievers and that you have carefully considered this decision.

2. Mutual Agreement Exception

The only circumstance under which a refund or return may be accepted is if both parties (El Dorado Golden Retrievers and the buyer) mutually agree in writing to the refund or return of the puppy.

Such mutual agreement is entirely at the discretion of El Dorado Golden Retrievers and is not guaranteed under any circumstances. Requests for refunds or returns must be submitted in writing and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

3. Circumstances Where Refunds Will NOT Be Granted

Refunds will not be granted for any of the following reasons, including but not limited to:

• Change of mind or buyer's remorse
• Changes in personal circumstances (moving, financial hardship, family changes, etc.)
• Allergies discovered after taking possession of the puppy
• Behavioral issues or training challenges
• Size, color, or appearance not meeting expectations
• Incompatibility with other pets or family members
• Inability to provide proper care or housing
• Minor health issues that can be treated with routine veterinary care
• Normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, barking, or housetraining accidents

4. Deposit Transfers

While deposits are non-refundable, they may be transferred to a future litter at the buyer's request, subject to availability and at the sole discretion of El Dorado Golden Retrievers. Deposits may not be transferred to another person.

5. Buyer's Right to Veterinary Examination

Buyers are strongly encouraged to have their puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of taking possession. If a serious, life-threatening congenital health defect is discovered during this examination that was not disclosed at the time of sale, the buyer must:

• Notify El Dorado Golden Retrievers immediately in writing
• Provide complete veterinary documentation from a licensed veterinarian
• Allow El Dorado Golden Retrievers to obtain a second opinion from a veterinarian of our choosing

If both veterinarians agree that the puppy has a serious, life-threatening congenital health defect, El Dorado Golden Retrievers may, at our sole discretion, offer a replacement puppy from a future litter or negotiate a mutually agreeable resolution. Monetary refunds are not guaranteed even in this circumstance.

6. Return of Puppy

If a return is mutually agreed upon in writing, the following conditions apply:

• The puppy must be returned in good health and condition
• All veterinary records must be provided
• The buyer is responsible for all transportation costs
• Any refund amount will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may be subject to deductions for veterinary care, boarding, and other expenses incurred by El Dorado Golden Retrievers
• The buyer waives all future claims against El Dorado Golden Retrievers upon return of the puppy

7. Buyer's Acknowledgment

By placing a deposit or purchasing a puppy from El Dorado Golden Retrievers, you acknowledge that:

• You have read and understood this Refund Policy in its entirety
• You understand that all sales are final and deposits are non-refundable
• You have carefully considered your decision to purchase a puppy
• You are financially and personally prepared to care for a puppy for its lifetime
• You accept full responsibility for the puppy once it leaves our care

8. No Warranties or Guarantees

El Dorado Golden Retrievers makes no warranties or guarantees, express or implied, regarding the future health, temperament, size, appearance, or suitability of any puppy beyond what is expressly stated in the Purchase Contract. This Refund Policy does not create any additional warranties or guarantees.

9. Modifications to Policy

El Dorado Golden Retrievers reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. However, the policy in effect at the time of your deposit or purchase will govern your transaction.
